I've just returned from a beautiful camping trip with two beautiful, intrepid, adventurous, and bold young women. Together, we created the following poem:
Today, running through silk. weeds of grass
by Anna, Eliana, and Erin
Aug. 11
Colorful droplets so delicate that...
Today, bursting with crayola-ecstasy
Sweetly returning,
we
found light.
Aug. 12
Riot of Streaming sticks.
Downpouring with laughter, still.
Floating over pools
we
scrape away fear. [destiny, time]
Aug. 14
(3:15pm)
Shooting passionately across
Forbidden hours.
Brushing faith tentatively
We crumple
willingly with
space.
Aug. 14
Pondering potential
Living forward
In consequence we become stranded
[Though grounded]
